Nobel Peace Prize winner and reference for his work as a democracy builder, Dr. José Ramos-Horta will be one of the speakers at the sixth edition of the Brazil Africa Forum.
Ramos-Horta’s work for the construction of peace and development of the human rights is now recognized worldwide, after having transformed the scenario of war and poverty in Timor-Leste, a former Portuguese colony that had suffered 24 years under the domain of Indonesia.
Dr. José Ramos-Horta was laureated with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1996. He is former president of Timor-Leste and member of the Advisory Board of Brazil Africa Institute.
The sixth edition of the Brazil Africa Forum will be held on November 22nd and 23rd in Salvador, Brazil, covering the subject Youth Empowerment: transformation to achieve sustainable development. Registration will open soon.
