The Brazil Africa Institute and the Government of the Bahia State have taken the first step in the dialogue for the realization of two major IBRAF’s projects in Salvador city: the 6th Brazil Africa Forum and the exhibition Mandela: from Prisoner to President.

Bahia’s Secretary of Culture, Arany Santana, says that “this is only the first moment of the negotiations, to talk about the venues that could host the exhibition”.

IBRAF brings the exhibition for the first time to Brazil. It is curated by the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg, South Africa. It has already been seen for more than one million people in France, Sweden, the United States, Ecuador, Argentina, Peru and Luxembourg. The director of the Apartheid Museum, Christopher Till, will visit Salvador on April to check the selected venues.
