Camila Marinho is one of the best known faces of tv journalism in the State of Bahia. Since 2005, Camila is working for Bahia TV, an affiliate of Globo, the main Brazilian broadcast network. At Bahia TV Camila anchored for three years the news program with the largest rate.

A professional with 16 years of experience, she has worked for major television stations in Brazil.

In July 2018 she received the title of Bahia Citizen, granted by the Legislative Assembly in recognition of her good services provided to the state through work as a journalist.

Camila participates in the 6th Brazil Africa Forum as moderator of the session “Power To Empower: New Models for an Inclusive Creative Economy”. The panel will be attended by Mônica Monteiro, Vice-President of the Federation of Entrepreneurs Women of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (FME-CPLP) and CEO of Cine Group; of Paulo Rogério Nunes, a young entrepreneur from Bahia who founded the Media Etnica Institute and Vale do Dendê – the first black startups accelerator in Northeast Brazil, awarded as one of the 100 most influential Afro-descendant youth in the world by the UN; and Márcia Ganem, fashion designer who works with social and cultural innovations and is Counselor of the National Council of Cultural Policies of the Ministry of Culture.

The 6th Brazil Africa Forum will be held in Salvador of Bahia on November 22 and 23, at the Deville Convention Center.
