He joined Citigroup in 2010 as the Head of Corporate Clients and Investments in Portugal, and in 2012, he was appointed Head of Investments for Africa. By 2017, he advanced to the role of President of Investment Banking for the Middle East and Africa. Prior to Citigroup, he served as Senior National Advisor at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and held the position of Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. Miguel holds an MBA in Finance and a degree in Economics, demonstrating his expertise in M&A transactions, including the notable merger between Access Bank and Diamond Bank in Nigeria. He has also been involved in significant capital market operations across Africa.
